THESSALONIKI INTERNATIONAL BOOK FAIR 2010
Thessaloniki, a European city at the crossroads of the Balkans and the Mediterranean will host international authors including romantic writers, Batuhan Soylu and Jasmine Soylu, authors of the novel, "Returning to Istanbul"
The book is currently being turned into a screenplay about the wonderful relationship of trade between the countries Greece and Turkey.
The famous Book Fair in Thessaloniki has been home to the international book fair since 2004. Six years on, the fair has become a regular fixture for the book trade and book lovers from Istanbul to Madrid, Spain.
Online versions of the Soylu's novel, Returning to Istanbul, and the screenplay based on the film have been made available in print as well as e-book format.
Thessaloniki Book Fair takes place in April at the Helexpo exhibition center. It offers visitors an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest releases of publishers from around the world. National Book Centre of Greece (EKEBI) provides free coach travel from Athens to Thessaloniki for the book fair visitors. During the fair, the coaches depart from the centre of Athens at 08.00 every day and return from Thessaloniki at 16.00
